Sydney, Australia – 13 July 2026.  Sydney Neuroimaging Analysis Centre (SNAC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Ron Shnier MBBS, FRANZCR as a Non-Executive Director.

Dr Shnier is one of Australia’s most respected radiologists and diagnostic imaging leaders, bringing extensive clinical, executive and board-level experience across radiology, medical technology and biotechnology.

He is President of the Australian Diagnostic Imaging Association and a Non-Executive Director of I-MED Radiology Network, having previously served as I-MED’s Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of ASX-listed Vectus Biosystems and a Non-Executive Director of Lumitron.

Dr Shnier brings more than three decades of experience in diagnostic imaging, including extensive expertise in MRI and the adoption of emerging imaging technologies. After completing his specialist radiology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, he undertook subspecialty fellowship training in neuroradiology and musculoskeletal imaging, including at the University of California, Los Angeles.

He subsequently established one of Australia’s first private MRI practices and has held senior clinical and executive leadership positions across several of Australia’s major diagnostic imaging organisations. Dr Shnier has also served on international MRI advisory boards and remains actively involved in clinical research, education and the translation of new technologies into clinical practice.

John Moulden, Chief Commercial Officer at SNAC, welcomed the appointment.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ron to the SNAC Board. He brings an exceptional combination of clinical authority, enterprise radiology experience and commercial insight developed through decades of leadership in diagnostic imaging.

“As SNAC expands across Australia and international markets, Ron’s understanding of radiology workflows, healthcare governance and the adoption of emerging imaging technologies will be invaluable. His experience will help us translate sophisticated imaging science into practical solutions for radiologists, clinicians and patients.”

Dr Shnier said he was pleased to be joining SNAC at an important stage in its development.

“SNAC has brought together outstanding clinical, scientific and technical expertise to develop imaging technologies that address genuine needs in neurological care and radiology practice.

“I am excited to join the Board and support the team as SNAC expands its national and international presence and increases access to quantitative imaging, artificial intelligence and advanced imaging informatics.”

Dr Shnier’s appointment comes as SNAC expands the deployment of its neuroimaging and imaging informatics technologies through partnerships with diagnostic imaging providers, hospitals, research institutions and pharmaceutical companies across Australia and international markets.
